How do you express gratitude to someone who has helped Megan move forward? (Words were not enough)
Megan made this card for someone who helped her gain more independence. Megan used the cuttlebug on the lilac paper- with her left hand which had been operated on extensively this summer. This made a star texture for the background. This card was made with the Create a Friend cartridge which Megan received yesterday for her birthday.

Happy Halloween
Of course, in our home with the Christmas card chaos, centerpieces/raffle stuff we are cutting for a charity dance, and the other items we cut to give away- we forgot about Halloween! Here was a cute card, simple but filled with love for a first Halloween for a very adorable boy!
The leaves above are fall colored and metallic. They are textured and make the card "pop" but needed to be placed on the card with a glue gun. The cards had the pre-printed dot paper.
Have a safe and Happy Halloween

Special Birthday card for special friend
We love to use the Cricut Craft room to make "backers" for the cards. See the scallop edge background on the front of the card? Using solid paper and then creating texture with the Cuttlebug is one way to make the front of the card "pop". Or you can use a paper with a design - as we did here- to make an interesting background for the feature piece. I use the craft room to make different sizes for the "backers" and then we cut a lot at a time. When it is time to create a card, it is fun to pick out which backer to use. It also helps add dimension to the design.

PLEASE REMEMBER THOSE WHO SERVE OUR COUNTRY!
Megan made these cards while recuperating from a very complex and painful surgery. They took a long time, but it is very important to remember those who sacrifice everything for us at home. Veteran's Day is coming, please remember those who serve our country.
Congratulations to the new teachers we know!
Megan had surgery August 22 and had her left hand in a cast as she waited for the new school year to start. That did not stop her from making cards for new teachers!
