Looking to the Future Birthday Card

Megan loved making this birthday card.  She wanted the alien, spacehip, rocket, astronaut and lots of stars.  Lots of cuts with the Cricut but it was fun.  She loved the sparkly paper although we got glitter on everything.  We had a lot of fun with this one- and used a lot of glue.  Time to clean up now....

Recovering from surgery, working harder than ever.

On January 19th, Megan had surgery done on her right hand- tendon lengthening to open her hand to make it easier for her to use.  A very uncomfortable surgery- the cast was just removed February 15th- but it did not stop her.  She was using her Cricut machine just two days after the surgery and has not stopped since.  She has made birthday cards, valentines, and is even making dozens of favors for her Columbiettes chapter.  This card is for a very dear friend and used a new 'wobble' spring- the dog with the hula hoop actually moves. 

Megan made a Valentine for Buddy Valastro

As a family we love to go to Carlo's bakery in Hoboken.  The site of the Cake Boss show on TLC is a bakery where everything is delicious.  Buddy, the Cake Boss, was not there that Monday in January, so Megan left her valentine for him.  A generous man, a great bakery- it is worth the trip there! (She loves to treat her classmates to cookies brought back from there.) 

card for ArchBishop Dolan- Cardinal Elect

Megan spent last weekend making this card for our Archdiocese of New York Archbishop Dolan. He will become a Cardinal in February. Megan used our new Cricut cartridge "New Testament" for some of these cuts. We are very proud of him.

We have so much to be thankful for- it is a nice idea to express it in a handmade card.

Megan seems to be on an owl kick - we made a lot of thank you  cards with owls.  She loves bright colors.

Megan made this sign to help sell raffles for her school, the Seton Foundation for Learning, a not for profit school for developmentally disabled students.  Megan attends the Bishop Ahern school.  She is also helping other students  learn how to use the Cricut machines to make cards and gifts.
