Megan made these cards for fellow dayhab participants.  They like to celebrate each other's birthdays and Megan always wants to make cards as soon as she hears a birthday is coming.

SENDING LOVE TO ALL

Megan started out the week by bringing in card sets to make with her friends at her dayhab group.  These were cut with the Cricut Explore and Megan chose her colors etc.  to cut. Each person was given a bag with all the pieces necessary, cards, glue, stickers etc were sent in so the dayhab participants would have a productive morning making cards- with everything including wipes for gluey fingers sent in.  (We thank Danny, Megan's dad and my husband, for being so generous with the supplies we sent in!)

Now Megan wanted to thank the ladies who help the dayhab participants each week, These ladies volunteer their time- and pay to be CLLD (Continuing LifeLong Development) participants- all the while enriching the lives of these young adults so they have a meaningful time at this dayhab.
Megan made these fortune cookies boxes and made 'paper' cookies with sayings of appreciation, and filled the boxes with kisses. Thank you ladies for the love you give to the kids!

we forgot the picture but Meg made her sister, Erin, an EOS (lip balm) holder with a teddy bear cupid .  She also made daddy this card and nanny and poppy the heart card.

Megan's creative Christmas cards

Megan is making her Christmas cards.  She liked making the window out of vellum and putting the snowman and snow "outside" the window.  She used the Cricut explore and that made it very easy to make the greeting over the fireplace and even the bricks in the fireplace.

Megan made this card for  her daddy's birthday. She used an Action Wobble under Crush so he moves back and forth. Wink of Stella Clear Shimmer was used to highlight the seaweed and coral.  The cuts came from the Cricut Disney's Best of Pixar. She used the Cricut Explore for this card.

using new materials, Megan creates fun

Megan used the new Cricut washi sheets to make the 'back' of the beach chair. She used the Cricut Distressed foam to make the snorkel, bathing suit, and beach ball.   The texture of the foam is amazing and makes the card 'pop'. She made this card for a  staff member who works at the dayhab she attends. The beach theme goes nicely with the weather lately...

Megan's lemonade stand for charity 2015

As you know, Megan was a New York Yankees HOPE week honoree in 2011 for her charity work and for helping others "perservere and excel". Since Megan had been doing lemonade stand for years for various charities, the New York Yankees made her a custom wheelchair friendly lemonade stand. Now each year, to continue the tradition, we bring the lemonade stand to the Richmond County Ballpark- home of the Staten Island Yankees- and still give out free lemonade for charity.  This year Megan did the lemonade stand for the newly launched Staten Island Yankees Foundation , along with her friends and family. The lemonade stand raised over 4500 dollars last week!
See the stand, with her last minute sign on the side of the stand and the thank you notes she is still making.
The thank you notes incorporate the Cricut Explore, washi tape and Cricut craft foam.

Box card for a special couple's engagement

Megan used the Cricut Explore to make this card for Michael and Liz.  They got engaged at Disney last September and when Megan gave this to them at their engagement party last week, they seemed pleased that she incorporated the Cinderella theme, Michael's love of Star Wars, the date they met and they date they got engaged.  Now what can we do for the wedding next year?

Get well card

Megan made this card for a special aunt who is under the weather. Let's hope that Tigger will help her bounce back soon!  She used the  Cricut Explore to make the sign by adding the text. Tigger was made with Print and Cut and the orange was then cut with card stock to layer Tigger.   The tree was also Print and Cut and the red door was layered with card stock.  We hope our aunt is better soon!

116 favors for Charity tea

Megan made the favors for the 5th  Annual Manresa Columbiettes  Charity Tea. Megan is a Columbiette and often can not make the night time meetings, but supports the charity events. She started making these ladybugs for decorations/favors months ago. She used the Create a critter (2) cartridge and made 116  ladybugs with the Cricut  Explore.  She also made signs for the tea, signs for raffles and of course happily attended it yesterday.  Everything was donated and once all is totaled up, the money will go to local charities or those in need. Megan also proclaimed that next year she is making the favors cupcake shaped!  (Always  thinking ahead and hitting the sales for supplies!)
